Poetry

I have been writing poetry for pleasure for many years now. You will find a poem in this section each month.

Nov 2008

I Demand The Following

I want to smuggle myself

behind the curtain

between two sheets

of glass

exhibited on a

news stand

I want to colour your

rice pudding with the

blood from my mouth

of innate desire and

I want to surf the

jangled highway of loves

refrain from this roadside

cafe and this cold platter

of poisonous shame

I want to plant a bomb

in your window box

water it with demands

bathe it with paranoia

and tug at the roots

I want to shackle my ankle

to your future

and

silence you with

suicide

I want to be your nervous

puppy dog

quivering at your choochie feet

pissing myself with fear

This is what I want and I will not stop until I get it
